Policy

Maaria Mozaffar believes that complex policy issues cannot be solved by short term, short gain legislative victories.  She strongly believes that we, as citizens of a community have a responsibility to initiate processes that chip away at policy issues facing underserved communities in Illinois. In order to yield permanent change, we must build new alliances and implement long term processes that create interdependent relationships between community members and state agencies.

In addition Mozaffar works on the notion that one not need to be an elected official to bring substantive change in communities. We can bring change by using resources that are available to us. For the Law of Office of Maaria Mozaffar, these resources are creative ideas, legislative strategies, tools for verbal and print advocacy and  fostered relationships with state actors, policy think tanks, community leaders and community activists. Please learn about  the policy issues that the Law Office is currently concentrating its efforts on.
